Walrus
Provided by Walrus
Decentralized blob storage on Walrus, available through Tatum’s On-Chain Storage API - upload, certify, renew, and delete verifiable files without running your own storage nodes.
Walrus is a decentralized storage protocol built for large-scale, verifiable blob storage. Blob content lives across Walrus storage nodes while ownership and metadata sit on Sui - so you can store profiles, datasets, and agent memory without running your own storage fleet.
Through Tatum’s On-Chain Storage API, developers upload files, poll certification (PENDING → UPLOADING → CERTIFIED), fetch aggregator download URLs, and manage renewals or instant deletes - all with a Tatum API key. Maximum upload size is 50 MiB on mainnet keys.
Storage capability highlights
- Decentralized file storage via a simple HTTP API
- Asynchronous on-chain certification with job status polling
- Download-ready Walrus aggregator URLs once certified
- Automatic epoch renewals, soft cancel, or instant delete
- Ideal for wallet-owned profiles, AI agent memory, and immutable blockchain datasets
Tatum × Walrus integration
Tatum partners with Walrus to move beyond RPC-bound historical data. Structured assets - including multi-year price candles and transaction history for major chains - can be published as immutable files on Walrus and fetched from public aggregators.
